Plovdiv or Krumovo Airport is the airport of the second largest city in Bulgaria.
It is located 12 kilometers southeast of the city.
In 2009, a new terminal was opened with a capacity of 1000 people per hour.
✈ Opened in 1981, the airport acts as an alternative to Sofia Airport. One of the main functions of the airport is charter service, but it also operates scheduled flights to England and Germany respectively to London and Frankfurt respectively.
The terminal comprises two levels, of which, the 5,000m² ground level is dedicated to passenger handling. On December 25, 2009, the Russian airline S7 began operating its first regular seasonal service between Plovdiv and Domodedovo Airport, Moscow.
